Marrakech to Upgrade Road to Popular Agafay Desert Tourist Destination

At a cost of 27 million dirhams, the project to develop the road leading to the Agafay desert will soon enter its active phase. The work, fully financed by the Marrakech-Safi Regional Council, should start in early February.
The development of this 10-kilometer road will start in the coming days. The project includes public lighting and road signs, as well as the widening of the road leading to the Agafay commune. The feasibility studies for this project have been finalized, we are told.
Located on the outskirts of Marrakech, the Agafay desert is known for its wild beauty and fascinating landscapes. It is one of the most popular destinations for tourists, including celebrities. It welcomes thousands of visitors each year to celebrate weddings or birthdays.
