Marrakech Officials Meet to Boost Real Estate Sector Amid Economic Challenges

Measures to revive the real estate sector were at the center of a working meeting. This took place between the Urban Agency of Marrakech (AUM) and the Regional Council of the Order of Architects (CROAT) of the Marrakech-Safi region.
The participants discussed the sector in these circumstances where the implementation of exceptional measures is essential. This implementation is in line with the circular of the Minister of National Territorial Development, Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy, not to mention the proposals from the webinars organized throughout the month of April.
Said Loqmane, director of the AUM and the president of the CROAT, allowed the two parties to reiterate their joint willingness to federate efforts and mobilize the necessary resources in order to revive the real estate sector in the Marrakech-Safi Region.
According to Map, the Urban Agency of Marrakech (AUM) specifies that the housing and real estate sector is an important indicator of the country’s development and economic health, accounting for 6.3% of national GDP.
Aware of this challenge, the AUM, in collaboration with other public and private partners at the local level, wants to make the support of investors and professionals one of the major priorities of its action. A challenge that would also be favorable to the development of several related sectors of activity.
The revival of this sector requires the contribution of various stakeholders, in order to adopt common measures aimed at supporting professionals in the realization of their projects.
