Marrakech Marathon Draws 13,000 Runners, Including Elite Athletes

The 31st edition of the Marrakech International Marathon and Half Marathon will be held on January 26th. More than 13,000 professional and amateur athletes, including 75 Top Runners, will take part in this sporting event in the ochre city.
Mohamed Knidri, the director of the Marathon and president of the Association of the Grand Atlas (AGA), indicates that more than 1,500 foreign athletes have already registered for this new edition. There will also be big names in Moroccan athletics, including Hicham Laqouachi, who holds a time of 2 h 08 min 35s, reports MAP.
As for the new features, this 31st edition will be marked by the presence of directors and representatives of the organizing committees of other international marathons. In addition, a change has been made this year to the circuit in order to make it faster and conducive to performance.
