Marrakech’s Jemaa el Fna Square Renovation Progresses as Officials Inspect Development Sites

On Saturday, a delegation led by the Governor of Marrakech toured the city’s development sites. The objective: to inquire about the progress of the major works, in particular the development of the second phase of Jemaâ El Fna Square and the surrounding circuits.
Accompanied by the technical services of the prefecture, Karim Kassi-Lahlou emphasized the need to respect quality and deadlines, while working to reduce them and take into account the working conditions of local businesses and souks.
On the occasion, the delegation visited the works of the programs at Jemaâ Fna, Rue des Banques, the Dar Si Said Ben Youssef circuit (phase I), El Kennaria and Biyaddine, in addition to the Ghrablia foundouk, the Maristane health center, the Ben Youssef circuit, Jemaâ Fna, passing through Sidi Isaac, Semmarine, Foundouk Benchbaba and Souk Jdid.
The authorities also took advantage of this periodic inspection to communicate with the merchants and craftsmen concerned by these projects.
