Marrakech International Film Festival Returns for 18th Edition, Featuring Star-Studded Lineup
Morocco is organizing one of its major film events from November 29 to December 7, 2019. This is the Marrakech International Film Festival (FIFM), which is in its 18th edition.
The Marrakech International Film Festival (FIFM) will be sold out, from November 29 to December 7, 2019. For its 18th edition, the FIFM program has seen some slight changes. In addition to the official competition, the event is maintaining its "Panorama of Moroccan Cinema" and renewing the "Conversation with" concept, according to a press release from the organizers.
According to the same source, the "Conversation with" concept allows professionals and the general public to meet with great names in world cinema. In other words, it is exchange and discussion sessions that attract crowds. Last year, this concept had brought together nearly 500 people: professionals, students, journalists and cinema enthusiasts.
During the 2019 edition, new professionals from various regions around the world will be able to take part in a new edition of the "Ateliers de l’Atlas", which is nothing other than an "Industry and Talent Development" program of the FIFM.
The press release also points out that "the Festival remains committed to its social vocation by organizing special programs for the visually impaired, as well as for the young public".
