Moroccan Film "Adam" to Premiere at Angoulême Francophone Film Festival

"Adam", the first feature film by young Moroccan director Maryam Touzani, will represent Moroccan cinema at the 12th Francophone Film Festival of Angoulême, which will take place from August 20 to 25, 2019.
More than sixty films will be on the menu of this edition, including 15 previews. Presided over by actress Jacqueline Bisset, the Festival will see the participation of several Maghreb directors, including the Franco-Algerian-Tunisian Hafsia Herzi, with her film "The Merits of a Love".
Presented at the Cannes Film Festival, "Adam", which traces an experience in the life of its director, tells the story of the journey to the city of a young single mother, Samia, who, in her eighth month of pregnancy, wants to abandon her baby to whoever wants to adopt it. She will be taken care of by Abla, a widowed baker.
During the Festival, particular interest will be given to Moroccan director Nabil Ayouch, with the screening of six of his cinematographic works, including "Mektoub", "Razzia" and "The Horses of God".
