Marrakech Hotels Shine in Global Top 50 Ranking, La Mamounia Takes 6th Place

Two Moroccan hotels have just been ranked among the 50 best hotels in the world. They are both located in Marrakech.
While La Mamounia occupies 6th place, the Royal Mansour is ranked 23rd on this list of the "50 best hotels 2023" compiled for the first time by the British company William Reed Business Media. Passalacqua, located on the shores of Lake Como in Italy, tops this ranking published on Wednesday.
Four Asian hotels, Rosewood in Hong Kong (2nd), Four Seasons in Bangkok (3rd), Upper House in Hong Kong (4th) and Aman Tokyo in Tokyo (5th) make up the top five of this ranking which also includes two Spanish hotels, the Four Seasons in Madrid (24th) and the Six Senses in Ibiza (49th).
American establishments such as Aman New York (25th) and Equinox New in New York (48th) and French establishments such as Le Bristol (29th), La Réserve (34th), Cheval Blanc (34th) and Hôtel de Crillon (50th), all located in Paris, are also found in this ranking.
The 580 anonymous inspectors who rated these hotels traveled to 35 destinations around the world. By continent, Europe comes first with 21 hotels, followed by Asia (18), North America (6), Africa (3), South America (1) and Oceania (1).
