Barceló Expands Luxury Portfolio with $87 Million Acquisition of Two Moroccan Hotels

The Spanish hotel giant Barceló has acquired two luxury hotels in Casablanca and Rabat for 80 million euros. The two establishments will be completely renovated in the coming months.
The two five-star hotels located in Casablanca and Rabat were operated under the Farah brand, with 279 and 192 rooms respectively. After the renovation work scheduled for next month, the Casablanca hotel will reopen under the name Royal Hideaway, and the one in Rabat, under the Barceló brand, reports Idealista.
The Spanish hotel giant, which promotes the Barceló, Hideaway, Occidental and Allegro brands, is thus strengthening its presence in Morocco. The company has eight hotels spread across six Moroccan cities, with more than 1,600 rooms. Present in the kingdom since 2006, Barceló Hotel Group has already invested more than 150 million euros with its local partners to acquire, renovate and enhance hotels.
