Marrakech Luxury Hotels La Mamounia and Royal Mansour Make World’s Top 50 List

New distinction for La Mamounia and the Royal Mansour. These two luxury hotels in Marrakech are featured in the "The World’s 50 Best Hotels" ranking for the year 2024.
La Mamounia ranked 31st, while the Royal Mansour occupies the 38th place in this annual ranking by William Reed Business Media. In addition to this distinction, the Royal Mansour was awarded the Art of Hospitality prize for its unparalleled quality of service.
Opened in 1923, La Mamounia celebrated its centenary last year and was renovated for the occasion. This iconic hotel in Marrakech, which combines tradition and modernity, has managed to preserve its authenticity and luxury over time. According to "The World’s 50 Best", staying at La Mamounia "is almost a religious experience". "The site dates back to the 18th century, when the son of Sultan Mohammed Ben Abdallah transformed his fragrant lands - a visual cacophony of wild olives and oranges, cacti, palms and bougainvilleas - into a place of sumptuous garden parties," it informs.
The establishment, which has hosted personalities such as Winston Churchill, Charlie Chaplin or Yves Saint-Laurent, has luxury rooms and suites with a view of the gardens, as well as private riads. In terms of catering, it offers Italian, Asian and French dishes.
As for the Royal Mansour, it was inaugurated in 2010 by King Mohammed VI. More than a hotel, it is "a physical manifestation of all that is Moroccan," according to "The World’s 50 Best". The materials used for its construction, as well as its decoration, represent a beautiful tribute to Moroccan craftsmanship. The particularity of the Royal Mansour lies in its private riads with an inner courtyard, swimming pool and personalized butler service, offering visitors a unique comfort. "The culinary experience of the Royal Mansour is just as exceptional," it is specified, indicating that the establishment offers Moroccan cuisine.
