Marrakech Hit by Second Food Poisoning Outbreak, 5 Hospitalized

Another food poisoning incident in Marrakech, the second in less than a month. Five people were admitted to the hospital after eating a meal at a snack bar in a popular neighborhood.
Five people were victims of food poisoning after eating a meal at a snack bar located in Souika Boukanboul, in the Aïn Itti neighborhood of Marrakech, according to information reported by Al Aoula.
The incident occurred last Saturday. The victims quickly presented symptoms of food poisoning, prompting them to go to the Ibn Zohr hospital in Marrakech.
Three of the poisoned people were able to leave the hospital after an improvement in their condition, while two other patients remained there for additional care.
An investigation has been opened by the authorities to determine the exact circumstances of the incident and identify any potential responsibilities.
This is the second serious case of food poisoning to occur in Marrakech in less than a month. Indeed, at the end of April, 26 people had been victims of food poisoning in another establishment, causing the death of four of them.
