Marrakech Cracks Down on Parking Scams with New Price Regulations

The many complaints from motorists and motorcyclists about the prices set by parking attendants are behind the new measures taken by the authorities of Marrakech.
To regulate this situation, the authorities of the ochre city have erected nearly a hundred signs at the entrance of the city’s parking lots on which the regulatory prices set by the city are written, reports Al Massae.
According to the new pricing, the cost of parking can vary between 1 and 3 dirhams depending on the day or night hours, compared to 10 DH for less than an hour of parking in the city.
This change in prices, which will be imposed on all parking lots, has been very well received by the people of Marrakech. This new measure is likely to lead to the closure of certain parking lots whose managers will be forced to convert, it is specified.
