A 74-year-old British tourist was the victim of a serious fall into an unsecured manhole in Marrakech, where she was on vacation.
Rushed to a clinic in the city, her injuries have sparked outrage among tourism professionals. They denounce an incident that tarnishes the image of the destination and endangers the safety of visitors, whether local or foreign.
Many Marrakchis have called on social media for concrete measures from the authorities, recalling that several similar cases have occurred in the past.
