Belgian Tourist Dies After Tragic Fall in Marrakech Sauna

A Belgian tourist in her sixties tragically lost her life last Tuesday during a sauna session in a wellness center in Marrakech.
According to the information reported by the site Kech24 and confirmed by the FPS Foreign Affairs, the woman, born in 1957, was in a sauna in the Bab Atlas area, about 15 kilometers from Marrakech, when she suffered a serious fall.
Unconscious for several minutes on the burning floor, the victim suffered a head trauma, serious burns and asphyxiation. Rushed to a private clinic after being discovered, she could not survive her injuries and died on Tuesday.
The FPS Foreign Affairs stated that the victim’s family received the necessary consular assistance. A local investigation has been opened by the authorities to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
