Morocco: Bad news at the pump
Moroccan motorists are facing a new increase in fuel prices at the pump. As of this Sunday, November 16, diesel and gasoline are experiencing a new increase, the second in just over four months.
According to information provided by distributors, the most significant increase concerns the liter of diesel, which is rising by 30 cents to settle around 11.40 dirhams. The price of unleaded Super gasoline is recording a smaller increase of 8 cents, bringing its price to around 13.78 dirhams per liter.
This new increase comes in addition to the one that had already occurred on July 1, 2025, when diesel had experienced a jump of more than 40 cents and gasoline of nearly 30 cents. The two successive increases reflect an underlying trend.
Professionals in the sector explain that this development is the direct consequence of an international context that remains tense.
