Manhunt Ends: Suspect Arrested in Fatal Stabbing of Moroccan Schoolgirl, Two Others Injured

The elements of the Royal Gendarmerie in Sefrou arrested an individual accused of having attacked three girls in the Boudrhem neighborhood, killing one of them and injuring two others. An investigation has been opened to elucidate this crime.
Wanted by the authorities after his crime, the accused was spotted by an authority agent who alerted the police and the Royal Gendarmerie. After hours of searching, the agents finally arrested the suspect who was made available to the judicial police.
The defendant is accused of having attacked with a knife a group of three female college students from the Lahcen Lyoussi school who were returning from class. One of them, seriously injured in the abdomen, was urgently transferred to the Hassan II University Hospital Center in Fez where she died. Her two classmates, on the other hand, continue to receive care after suffering injuries to their hands and face.
This violent attack has caused outrage and anger among civil society actors. The local section of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH) condemned this odious act in a statement, calling on the authorities to take appropriate measures to strengthen the security of citizens.
