Manchester United Legend Questions Amrabat’s Future After Difficult Season

A former Manchester United player does not see the Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat continuing his adventure at Old Trafford. He explains why.
"I don’t think he’s had the best season. In terms of commitment, we see that he’s done his best. He’s a very talented player who works very hard but for him, it’s definitely been a difficult season," said Louis Saha, a former French international, to Betfred. A semi-finalist in the last World Cup, Sofyan Amrabat joined Manchester United on loan from ACF Fiorentina until June 2024 for a fee of 10 million euros with a purchase option of 21.5 million pounds. After a dry spell, he has put in some good performances in recent weeks. He notably contributed to the English club’s victory in the FA Cup final - his passing accuracy was 93 percent.
The former Manchester United striker believes that if the Moroccan international "is placed in a team with the right balance and the right characters, then he, as well as all the other players, can produce 30% more than they have done so far. When the right configuration is in place, your performance will improve and all the team members will do so as well." Speaking about the future of the Atlas Lion, Louis Saha is doubtful: "I don’t believe Amrabat has had the best season, so I don’t know if he will stay at the club permanently, because I won’t lie and say I was really impressed, because that wasn’t the case."
So far, Manchester United maintains the idea of parting ways with Sofyan when his one-season loan contract with Fiorentina expires this month.
