Man with Mental Health Issues Attacks Taxis in Fez, Morocco, Injuring Child

An unusual incident occurred in the middle of the week in Fez where a man, apparently suffering from mental disorders, attacked several taxis traveling on the axis connecting the Dokkarate roundabout to Oued Fez. Armed with stones, he targeted the windshields of the vehicles, slightly injuring a child and sowing panic among the passengers.
According to the Al3omk website, the individual, in his forties, blocked the road before throwing projectiles at the taxis. Alerted, the authorities quickly intervened and arrested the aggressor.
Questioned by the same source, a taxi driver testified to the aggression he was a victim of. "I was going to Boujloud when I heard a deafening noise. My windshield was broken. The terrified passengers left the vehicle." He said he was perplexed as to why the taxis were targeted.
Oumayma, a taxi driver, for her part, recounted being taken by surprise by the attack. "A stone went through my windshield and injured a child. I was shocked and remained stuck in my vehicle for more than an hour."
Faced with the multiplication of these attacks, the taxi drivers of Fez express their concern and call on the authorities to strengthen security. They denounce "hostile behavior" towards them and demand that measures be taken to protect them.
