Major Progress on Casablanca Highway Expansion as ADM Reports Revenue Surge

The work to triple the Casablanca-Berrechid motorway and the Casablanca bypass motorway is progressing at a steady pace, Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM) has assured.
These works have a progress rate of 85% and 70% respectively, ADM indicates, whose consolidated turnover in the second quarter of 2024 reached more than 2.58 billion dirhams against 1.98 billion dirhams for the same period of 2023, an increase of 30.1%. According to ADM, this progression "is explained on the one hand by the 8.2% improvement in turnover related to operation compared to the end of June 2023 and on the other hand by the 153% increase in turnover related to construction for the same period".
The National Motorway Company of Morocco further specifies that the social turnover in the second quarter of 2024 is 976 million dirhams against 879 million dirhams for the same period of 2023, an increase of 11%. "For the second quarter of 2024, investments show a gross of 413 million dirhams against 145 million dirhams recorded in the same period last year and mainly concern the work on the Tit Mellil-Berrechid motorway and the tripling of the Casablanca bypass," it is detailed.
The balance sheet thus shows on its asset side a cumulative net investment of depreciation of 70,032 million dirhams at the end of June 2024 against 68,893 million dirhams recorded in the same period last year. The consolidated debts, at the end of June 2024, have decreased by 2.7% compared to the same period in 2023, recording 34,283 million dirhams. The same trend is observed in the social sector with a total of 36,475 million dirhams at the end of June 2024," adds ADM.
