Morocco Tourism Soars: Record 59.4 Billion Dirham Revenue in 2024

Morocco’s tourism revenues reached a new record during the first seven months of 2024, particularly during the summer period.
According to Fatim-Zahra Ammor, the Minister of Tourism, these revenues have jumped by 3.5% compared to the same period the previous year, reaching 59.4 billion dirhams. An increase of 2 billion dirhams that reflects the vitality of the sector.
This progress is explained in particular by a significant increase in the number of tourists. Thus, arrivals reached 4.4 million people during the months of July and August, an increase of 21% compared to the same period in 2023. In total, 11.8 million tourists visited Morocco in the first eight months of the year, a historic record.
These positive results are part of the 2023-2026 tourism roadmap, which aims to strengthen air connectivity and intensify marketing efforts. Thanks to this strategy, air transport capacity has increased by 30% compared to the previous year.
