Maid Arrested in Casablanca for $20,000 Jewelry Heist from Employer’s Bedroom

According to the daily Assabah, the author is none other than a 26-year-old maid, who took advantage of the trust of her employer to choose the right moment and enter her bedroom.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the cleaning lady, in charge of her employer’s personal affairs, committed her theft during a day of preparation for a wedding party. Taking advantage of a moment of inattention, she seized a necklace, two bracelets and two diamond-set rings, before disappearing into thin air.

Suspecting her of theft, due to her frequent entries into the bedroom and her sudden disappearance, her employer did not hesitate to take her to court for theft and breach of trust.

Arrested after three days of intense searches, the maid finally admitted the facts against her, justifying her act by a precarious social and material situation.

She was placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, pending her appearance before the court.
