Hypnosis Scam in Marrakech: Woman and Child Drugged, Robbed of Cash and Jewelry

Members of a "samaoui" gang defrauded a woman living in the Hassan II residence in the Socoma district after drugging her daughter and herself. They took a large sum of money and valuable jewelry.
Kheddouj, the victim, filed a complaint against the alleged scammers. In total, they stole 50,000 DH and jewelry from her. The woman reported in her complaint that the defendants sprayed liquid on her 4-year-old daughter and herself before acting.
Under the effect of hypnosis, she engaged in a conversation with them. In the process, she handed over jewelry worth 20,000 DH. Then the victim went to her bank branch where she made a withdrawal of 50,000 DH that she handed over to the woman who was part of the gang.
After committing their crime, they took the victim and her daughter to an apartment in the Mhamid district. The next day, they were dropped off in an unconscious state in another neighborhood.
According to a police source, these alleged scammers are actively being sought by the police. In addition, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has alerted the population to "samaoui" scams.
