Lyon Targets Moroccan Midfielder Younès Belhanda as Galatasaray Exit Looms

The Moroccan international, Younès Belhanda, under contract until 2021 with Galatasaray, could leave the Turkish club to join a Ligue 1 club at the end of the season.
Becoming increasingly unwanted at Galatasaray, the Moroccan player is on his way out, after several attempts by the club’s officials to get him out of the squad. According to the newspaper Hurriyet, the Atlas Lion would have already received an offer from Olympique Lyonnais. For now, no details have been given on the cost of the transaction and the duration of the next contract.
However, the Moroccan is not ready to leave the Istanbul club. According to the Turkish media, the 30-year-old midfielder would have demanded a contract extension and would even be willing to accept a salary reduction during this crisis period.
Already on the transfer list, the former Montpellier and Nice player is still under contract with Galatasaray until the end of next season.
