Lawmaker's Son Arrested in Agadir for Murder of Young Entrepreneur

Based on information provided by the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), the judicial police elements of Agadir succeeded in arresting the son of a parliamentarian suspected of having killed a young entrepreneur by strangling him before burning his body.

It all started with the discovery of a charred body on a vacant lot on the outskirts of the city of Agadir. The judicial police of Agadir opened an investigation. The Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) provided them with useful information that allowed them to identify the victim, the alleged murderer and to discover the motive for the murder.

The victim was a 20-year-old entrepreneur who was involved in the field of e-commerce, reports the Arabic-language daily Al Akhbar. His family stated that he was in business with the 27-year-old son of a regional parliamentarian who owed him more than 3 million dirhams. The latter is the last person the young entrepreneur spoke to on the phone and had an appointment with.

Based on the results of the autopsy and genetic analyzes, the investigators were able to discover that the alleged murderer and the victim had met for the last time in a rural area around Agadir. The son of the elected official brutalized and strangled the entrepreneur with a rubber cable before putting the body in the trunk of his car. He arrives on a vacant lot, sprinkles the body with a flammable liquid and then burns it.

The rest of the investigation proved fruitful: the suspect was arrested and will have to answer for his actions before the justice system.
