Laâyoune Police Seize Firearm and Drugs, Arrest Two in Trafficking Case

Two individuals aged 20 and 34 were arrested by the judicial police elements of Laâyoune. They would be involved in a case of drug and psychotropic trafficking and possession of a firearm.
The two defendants, thanks to the information provided by the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), were apprehended on board a 4x4 in the Al Wahda district of Laâyoune. The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) specifies that it was the search operations of the vehicle that allowed the police to seize a hunting rifle, 92 cartridges and 4 shells. The police went further in their curiosity by searching the home of one of the suspects. The operation resulted in the seizure of 20 bales of cannabis resin, estimated at 493 kilograms.
Pending shedding light on this case and identifying all those who are linked to this traffic, the suspects were placed in custody.
