King Mohammed VI Returns to Morocco, Poised for Major Economic Reforms

King Mohammed VI has been in Morocco since Sunday, September 2 in the evening. The Sovereign had made a private trip to Libreville, before joining Paris for a short stay.
The return of the monarch will be marked by important and structural measures, at a time when the country is living in anticipation of the strongest political and economic changes. This return is placed under the signs of "responsibility" and "development", to use the King’s own words.
In his Throne Speech, the Sovereign had ordered the establishment of an Advisory Commission from the next political season, tasked with creating a development model.
He thus called on the Head of Government to submit names to him for a cabinet reshuffle, as well as national competencies for positions of responsibility in the State.
The Commission will have a limited mission in time and will be responsible for presenting a general diagnosis and proposals capable of thwarting the obstacles and problems at the origin of social inequalities.
