King Mohammed VI Orders Transfer of Casablanca Official Amid Project Delays

The Secretary General of the Anfa prefecture has just been subject to a disciplinary transfer to Guelmim, on the sidelines of King Mohammed VI’s visit to Casablanca.
The delays and blockages observed on a set of development works and projects at the level of the Anfa and Corniche areas in Casablanca would be at the origin of this decision.
Numerous deficiencies and irregularities, raised in the territorial management, would have precipitated the decision, in particular the lack of coordination with the heads of external services, and the prolonged standby of a series of files related to local development and proximity services.
Alluding to a royal anger, the daily Al Massae does not rule out the possibility of a series of similar disciplinary measures against the officials and secretaries general assigned to the various administrations of the city.
The hypothesis is all the more plausible as it is reinforced by the cascading postponements of several projects, supposed to be inaugurated by the Sovereign. The inauguration of the proximity hospital in Hay Errahma, or the great theater of Casablanca, to name but a few, were at the top of his work agenda.
