Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Poised to Reshuffle Cabinet Amid COVID-19 Management Concerns

The Covid-19 pandemic has required the commitment of all components of the State. However, some ministers in the government risk being the subject of the anger of King Mohammed VI, due to their poor management of the crisis period.
In this regard, reports the site Rue20, the Sovereign should make changes within the team of Saâdeddine El Othmani, which notably concern the ministers of the Justice and Development party and the Socialist party.
The accumulated failures during this period and the inability to properly pilot certain national programs would have precipitated the royal decision, adds the site, recalling in passing the famous "mask law", which risked dealing a fatal blow to national unity.
The situation of Moroccans stranded abroad, families and people in precarious situations, or employment, to name but a few, should have been managed more responsibly, the site points out. And faced with the economic challenges awaiting Morocco, any delay in the management of these files would be detrimental to the country.
