Royal Commission Investigates Taghazout Bay Resort Amid Infrastructure Concerns

A high prefectural commission, composed of senior officials, traveled on Tuesday, February 11, to the gigantic tourist complex, Taghazout Bay, in Agadir, to investigate the files and authorizations related to the site.
A file sorting operation, followed by reports and minutes, was undertaken by the said commission, both on the projects built and on the dilapidated state of the road adjoining the complex.
During the visit of King Mohammed VI to the site last Saturday, the road infrastructure in place seemed in a deplorable state and would not be in compliance with the standards in force.
According to the site Agadir24, which reports a major royal anger, the investigation could undermine several officials at the local and central levels, if any defects or irregularities were to be raised by the prefectural commission.
