King Mohammed VI Mourns Iconic Moroccan Comedian Abderrahim Tounsi

Following the death of Moroccan comedian Abderrahim Tounsi, known as Abderraouf, King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and compassion to his family.
In this message, Mohammed VI expresses to the members of the deceased’s family and, through them, to their loved ones and the great artistic family of the late, his heartfelt condolences and sincere feelings of compassion. He describes Abderraouf as one of the pioneers of committed theatrical comedy in Morocco. He was known and loved for his authenticity and creativity.
The king says he remembers the human qualities and creative spirit of the late Abderrahim Tounsi through the character of Abderraouf, who marked the distinguished artistic career of the deceased and earned him the admiration, for decades, of a large audience passionate about his elegant and refined humorous style.
