King Mohammed VI Hosts Elite Moroccan Families on Luxury Superyacht ’Badis 1’

On Sunday, July 14, King Mohammed VI invited around a hundred personalities from wealthy families in the cities of Casablanca and Rabat to visit his large yacht, "Badis 1". Classified among the ten largest yachts in the world, "Badis 1" was moored in front of the Royal Palace in M’diq.
More than a hundred personalities were invited on Sunday, July 14, 2019, for a special visit of the Sovereign’s new acquisition, on the occasion of its first opening to the public.
According to the Spanish newspaper, El Confidencial, the invited persons had tried to reach the yacht the day before, Saturday, before turning back, without any explanation. The next day, they found the Sovereign welcoming them, accompanied by the Zaiter brothers.
The "Badis 1" ship is a gift from an Emirati sheikh to King Mohammed VI, as a token of friendship between the Sovereign and his sheikh brothers and emirs of the United Arab Emirates. A modern architectural work and one of the most prestigious sailing yachts in the world, the yacht was recently delivered to Casablanca.
