Kidnappings of children in Morocco: The categorical clarification of the DGSN
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) states that no kidnapping of children for organ trafficking has been recorded in Morocco. The institution denounces the circulation of false information and announces the opening of judicial investigations to identify the authors of these misleading contents.
The rumors spread through messages and videos on social networks are considered unfounded. The DGSN specifies that the official reporting platforms, such as E-Blagh and Tifli Moukhtafi (My missing child), have not received any alert corresponding to cases of organ trafficking or criminal kidnappings.
Information monitoring services have revealed that old sequences, concerning the disappearance of minors without a criminal nature, are currently being recycled online. These contents are deliberately presented as recent events by malicious users in order to sow unease among citizens.
Although some reports of alleged attempts have been transmitted to the authorities by concerned parents, the investigations carried out by the competent services have systematically ruled out any criminal offense. These isolated cases have no connection with organized criminal networks or any organ trafficking.
Faced with the proliferation of this disinformation, judicial investigations have been opened under the supervision of the territorially competent public prosecutor’s offices. They aim to identify and prosecute the individuals involved in the creation and dissemination of these misleading information that undermine the sense of public safety.
