Khemisset Residents Allege Fraud in Rural Road Construction Project

The inhabitants of the "Ait Ikken" douar in the commune of Ait Ichchou are raising the alarm about fraud in the construction of a road in Khemisset and are calling on the governor of the city to intervene.
According to these inhabitants, the company in charge of carrying out this road, which will open up the region, is carrying out the work "in a fraudulent, intentional and unprofessional manner, which raises fears about its quality and long-term use," reports Al Oâmk. In a petition, they denounce in particular poor preparation of the gravel before paving the road, the failure to use water to prepare the ground before paving, and the unfinished bridges over the watercourses.
These denunciations are confirmed by a local source who claims to have seen the workers mixing sand and cement with soil to build water channels. Faced with these concerns, the inhabitants of the "Ait Ikken" douar are calling on the governor to intervene and investigate this project financed by the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).
