Juventus’ Ihattaren Returns to Training Amid Legal Troubles

Mohamed Ihattaren is back in training at Juventus. At least, this is what a video posted by the Dutch player of Moroccan origin on Instagram shows.
After recently deleting all the photos from his Instagram account, Ihattaren posted short videos on Monday and Tuesday where he is seen training in the gym of his club, Juventus, and in the one at the Allianz Stadium in Turin. "What defines us is how we come back after a setback," the 21-year-old player wrote in the caption.
Last week, Ihattaren was taken into custody for two days after his ex-fiancée, influencer Yasmine Driouech, filed a complaint for assault against him. The young woman then tried to withdraw her complaint, but the public prosecutor’s office took over the case and opened an investigation to find out what really happened.
Juventus is considering parting ways with Ihattaren, the "problem player" whose contract runs until 2025, say Italian sports journalists who confirm that the footballer of Moroccan origin is training with the reserve team. Ihattaren arrived at the Italian club in 2021 from PSV, where his career had stagnated after a brilliant start.
Juventus loaned him to Sampdoria and Ajax, but the player did not perform in these clubs due to his alleged ties to the Mocro Maffia, the Moroccan criminal network active in the Netherlands and Belgium, and his relationship with Yasmine. The Italian club failed to finalize his transfer to a club in Qatar during the January transfer window.
