Dutch Soccer Star Mohamed Ihattaren Arrested Following Domestic Violence Allegation

Mohamed Ihattaren, 21, was arrested on Sunday in Amsterdam by the police, after a complaint for assault filed against him by his fiancée, influencer Yasmine Driouech. As of the latest news, he has been released but remains under judicial supervision.
The footballer of Moroccan origin is said to have assaulted the influencer with whom he got engaged last September. The events are said to have taken place in Ihattaren’s house in Haarzichtlaan (Vleuten) on Saturday night to Sunday. Yasmine immediately went to a police station to file a complaint for assault against Mohamed Ihattaren who was arrested on Sunday, his birthday, according to sources close to the investigation at AD.
The young woman is said to have changed her mind and tried to withdraw her complaint. But the public prosecutor’s office can take over the case, a justice spokesman said. The former Ajax and PSV player was in the Netherlands to spend a few days of vacation offered by his current club, Juventus. Held in custody since Sunday, he was released on Tuesday, but remains under control, the police announced. The investigation into this alleged assault continues.
Ihattaren and Yasmine seem to have a tumultuous love life. The player was the subject of serious threats after starting his relationship with Yasmine, to the point of missing several training sessions at Ajax. Mohamed Ihattaren had also been suspected of having links with the Mocro Maffia, the Moroccan criminal network active in the Netherlands, after his car was spotted at the Marengo trial.
In September, his gray Porsche Panamera was burned in Utrecht, a few days after his engagement photos with Yasmine were posted on Instagram. But six weeks after this publication, the couple separated. They are said to have reconciled since. Ihattaren had already been arrested in November in Utrecht. His career is in difficulty and he seems to be on his way out at Juventus with whom he has a contract until 2025.
