Ajax Cuts Ties with Troubled Prodigy Mohammed Ihattaren After Failed Comeback Attempt

Ajax Amsterdam is having a hard time understanding the case of Mohammed Ihatarren who, through his attitude and behavior, have definitively distanced him from the field.
"We did everything at Ajax for him to succeed, but we failed to turn the situation around. Mo couldn’t focus on football and the life of a professional. He didn’t show up for training and that couldn’t go on anymore. I went to his house and I thought I had convinced him. Unfortunately, it didn’t work," said an angry Alfred Schreuder, the club’s coach.
Schreuder is disappointed that the Ihattaren project failed. "I’m really disappointed. I hope one day he’ll understand, because he’s incredibly talented at playing football. He’s just a charming boy, but that’s not enough to succeed in high-level football."
About a month ago, the club had announced the player’s definitive departure, who was seen as a player who could make people forget the departure of Hakim Ziyech, but who never managed to establish himself in the first team due to his off-field antics.
