Juventus Defender Medhi Benatia Seeks Transfer Amid Interest from Premier League Clubs

The Moroccan international Medhi Benatia could leave Juventus of Turin by the end of the month, report several local media.
Lacking playing time since the start of the season, the captain of the Atlas Lions is looking to leave for greener pastures, which would not bother the Italian club, as long as the price is right. Discussions are currently underway between Juve and the player’s agents for a departure before January 31, the end of the winter transfer window.
According to the sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, several Italian and foreign clubs have expressed interest in the player. Thus, the English clubs of Fulham and Arsenal have sent agents, as have the Italian club AC Milan and the Spanish club FC Barcelona.
But Medhi Benatia could also choose the easy option by opting for one of the Gulf countries, the Qatari club Al-Duhail having put on the table the tidy sum of 10 million dollars, an amount that can be exceeded by Chinese clubs.
