Morocco’s Medhi Benatia Set for Lucrative Move to Qatar’s Al-Duhail

A golden semi-retirement for the Moroccan international Medhi Benatia who is about to sign with a Qatari club.
There will therefore be neither FC Barcelona nor AC Milan for the captain of the Atlas Lions, but the Qatari club Al-Duhail Sports Club, which should announce Benatia’s arrival before the end of the month.
To be able to secure the Moroccan’s services, the Qataris have put 10 million euros on the table as well as an annual salary of around 4 to 5 million euros, according to sources, enough to ensure a nice retirement for the Moroccan.
At the Qatari club, Benatia will find another Moroccan, Youssef El Arabi, a duo that should make the club’s good days, currently second in the Qatari football championship.
Medhi Benatia had left Bayern Munich for Juventus Turin in 2016.
