Julian Nagelsmann Emerges as Top Candidate for Chelsea Manager Position

Former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann is said to be in line to replace Gaham Potter at the helm of Chelsea, the club where Hakim Ziyech plays.
Free since his dismissal from Bayern Munich, Julian Nagelsmann would have the ideal profile to become the new manager of Chelsea after Potter’s departure on Sunday. The German coach would also have been approached by Tottenham to succeed Antonio Conte, reports RMC Sport.
Julian Nagelsmann should therefore replace Potter, who has only spent 206 days at the helm of Chelsea, after the departure of Thomas Tuchel. This year, Chelsea, ranked 11th in the Premier League, has only managed to win three out of 12 matches, recording a series of defeats, the latest against Aston Villa (0-2). A rather unimpressive record for Hakim Ziyech’s now former coach.
For the moment, the London leaders have not yet had any contact with Bayern, which will seek to profit from the transfer of Julian Nagelsmann, whose contract with the German club runs until 2026. For Oliver Kahn, president of Bayern Munich, Nagelsmann could not accept a new position this season.
For its part, Chelsea is determined to recruit the German coach. Until his possible arrival, Bruno Saltor, Potter’s assistant, will take over the interim. In addition to Nagelsmann, the name of the Portuguese Marco Silva is also mentioned to take a place on the Blues’ bench.
