Israeli Minister Celebrates King Mohammed VI’s 60th Birthday, Strengthening Morocco-Israel Ties
Israeli Transport Minister Miri Regev addressed her good wishes and congratulations to King Mohammed VI on the occasion of his 60th birthday, ending her message with a moving "Long live the King".
"On my behalf and on behalf of Israel, we wish you a long life, good health and great success," said the minister of Moroccan origin in a video message broadcast on the occasion of Youth Day marking King Mohammed VI’s 60th birthday.
In this video posted in Hebrew on the Moroccan-Israeli partnership X (ex Twitter) page and translated into French, the Israeli minister also expressed her joy at having made an official visit to Morocco in May and said she was impressed by the level of development of the kingdom.
"My visit is the first by an Israeli Transport Minister to the kingdom. It is therefore very important to me professionally, but also personally, as my father was born in Larache and my grandfather is buried in Casablanca," Miri Regev had said, also thanking Mohammed VI for his efforts to preserve Judaism in Morocco.
