Israeli Economy Minister to Visit Morocco, Sign Trade Agreement

The Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry, Orna Barbivai, will visit Morocco on Sunday, February 20. During this first official visit, she will lay the economic foundations of trade relations between Morocco and Israel, through the signing of an economic and commercial cooperation agreement.
Organized by the Israeli delegation in Morocco, this visit will allow Orna Barbivai to go to Rabat, Casablanca and Marrakech, where she will hold several meetings with Moroccan ministers, senior officials and businessmen, according to an official press release.
During this visit, the Minister of Economy and Industry of Israel will have a working session with her Moroccan counterpart, Ryad Mezzour. Exchanges are also planned with the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, as well as with the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri.
"Morocco has considerable importance for Israel in diplomatic, economic and cultural terms. I am going there to establish the economic foundations necessary for productive and fruitful bilateral exchanges," said Orna Barbivai.
"Although trade links exist and Israeli industry is already established in Morocco, economic cooperation is only partial compared to its potential, the realization of which will contribute significantly to the well-being and economic growth of the two countries," she added.
