Islamic Month of Rajab Begins Saturday in Morocco, Ministry Announces

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced on Friday that the month of Rajab of the year 1442 of the Hegira begins this Saturday, February 13, 2021.
In a statement, the ministry confirms that the crescent moon was visible at sunset on Friday, Jumada II 29, 1442 of the Hegira, corresponding to February 12, 2021. As a result, the 1st of Rajab will correspond to Saturday, February 13, 2021, the same statement specifies.
According to the Prophet Muhammad, Muslims should devote the night of the 15th day of the month of Sha’aban to prayer and the following day to fasting. According to several Hadiths, the acts of Muslims are raised to God during this eighth month of the Muslim calendar.
