Morocco Sets Eid Al Adha Date for July 21, 2021

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced on Saturday, July 10, the date of the celebration of Eid Al Adha in Morocco.
Moroccans are now informed of the date of the celebration of the Eid Al Adha celebration. The crescent moon announcing the month of Dhu Al-Hijjah of the year 1442 of the Hegira was not observed on Saturday evening (July 10) and consequently Eid Al Adha will be celebrated on the 10th of Dhu Al-Hijjah 1442 corresponding to July 21, 2021, indicates the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in a press release.
On Friday, Saudi Arabia announced that the month of Dhul-Hijjah begins on Sunday, July 11, and that the first day of Eid al-Adha has been set for Tuesday, July 20. Consequently, the holiday will be celebrated on July 20. A date retained by the advocates of the unified Muslim calendar such as Turkey or the Muslim Theological Council of France (CTMF).
