Morocco Announces Ramadan to Begin Wednesday as New Moon Not Sighted

The official date of the start of Ramadan 2021 in Morocco is now known. It was announced this evening by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
According to the ministry, the crescent moon of the month of Ramadan this Monday, April 12, 2021, after the Maghrib prayer, adding that "all the delegates of the ministry in the Kingdom and the Units of the Royal Armed Forces associated with the observation have confirmed the non-observation of the crescent moon announcing the sacred month of Ramadan."
Thus, the month of Sha’ban will have exhausted its 30 days and the first day of the sacred month of Ramadan 1442 of the Hegira will correspond to Wednesday, April 14, 2021, the ministry said.
