Intoxicated Kuwaiti Tourist Arrested in Agadir for Knife Attack on Three Women

It was in the heart of Agadir that a Kuwaiti national, apparently intoxicated, was arrested for assaulting three young women with a knife. The police are talking about a settling of scores.

The individual was placed in custody pending the results of the investigation. He is being prosecuted in a state of arrest for assault with a bladed weapon, public drunkenness and violence, reports the daily Assabah.

According to the initial findings of the investigation, the man came to Agadir as part of a tourist circuit and was staying in a famous hotel in the city. "He is said to have watched and located the three young women before surprising them on Sunday morning in a restaurant in the city center of Agadir." The sources of the daily Assabah describe a man "completely drunk, violent who violently attacked the three young women, particularly one of them with whom he had previously argued."

Had it not been for the speed of the security forces, he would have caused a massacre, given the violence he displayed. One of the young women, seriously injured, was evacuated in critical condition to the emergency room of the hospital where she underwent surgery, while the other two were slightly injured.

The investigation continues and will have to determine the circumstances in which the suspect knew the three victims, and what the reasons were for which he displayed such violence towards them.
