Interpol-Wanted French-Algerian Man Arrested in Casablanca for 2024 Conviction

The judicial police services in Casablanca arrested a 38-year-old French national this Thursday.
According to a security source, this man, who is also of Algerian origin, was the subject of a red notice issued by Interpol at the request of the French judicial authorities.
The arrest took place in Casablanca. Consulting the database of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) confirmed that the individual was wanted for the execution of a custodial sentence. This sentence stems from a conviction handed down against him by the French justice system around the middle of 2024.
The conviction is related to a case of serious assault and battery, involving the aggression of several people with a bladed weapon.
On the orders of the competent Prosecutor’s Office, the person concerned was placed in police custody.
