Interior Ministry Slams PJD’s Claims of Vote Manipulation in Moroccan By-Elections

The Ministry of the Interior has reacted to the rumors concerning the by-elections organized on July 21 last, denouncing "the malicious and unacceptable allegations" according to which the vote would have been oriented by certain authority agents.
These allegations circulated by the leadership of a political party (PJD, editor’s note) that took part in the vote, are likely to undermine the credibility of the electoral operation and sow doubt about its methodical and deliberate conduct, in line with the political line adopted by the party during the electoral deadlines of September 8, 2021, deplores the ministry in a press release.
The Interior is also surprised by the justification of this failure to put it on the back of the authority agents who contributed in a patriotic way to the success of these by-elections. "These accusations that are repeated on the occasion of each electoral deadline are "a form of denigration of the democratic achievements made by our country and of all the efforts deployed by all, government, constitutional institutions, responsible political parties and professional media," he stressed.
And to emphasize that all the legal, judicial and political guarantees have been put in place for a transparent conduct of the electoral deadlines. "All those who do not agree with this have the possibility of appealing to the competent constitutional institutions to contest the electoral results," he concluded.
