A baby just 15 days old lost his life at the provincial hospital in Safi, following a scorpion sting. Transported too late to the emergency room, the infant could not be saved.
The parents, who live in a village about a hundred kilometers from Safi, tried to get the antidote from the local pharmacy, after the first symptoms appeared.
Unfortunately, outside the Safi Provincial Hospital, no health facility or pharmacy in the region had it.
Alyaoum24 writes that, transported to the emergency room on Thursday, August 29, 2019, in the afternoon, he finally passed away the next morning, despite being taken care of by the on-duty doctor.
