The mythical hotel La Gazelle d’Or in Taroudant, very dear to former French President Jacques Chirac, will finally be put up for judicial sale on May 22.
This decision comes following a judgment rendered in January by the Casablanca Commercial Court, reports Maroc Hebdo.
The auction sale comes at the end of a marathon trial that pitted the main creditor Bank of Africa against the owner of the premises, Rita Bennis, the weekly notes, specifying that the starting price is set at 48 million dirhams.
However, Bennis plans to request the suspension of the operation, contesting the debt.
