Husband Arrested in Sidi Slimane Murder Case After Failed Cover-Up Attempt

An investigation has been opened by the police following the discovery of a woman’s body in Sidi Slimane. Her husband is suspected of having killed her and tried to cover up the murder as a robbery gone wrong.
Overcome with remorse after murdering his wife, the suspect staged a terrible scene. But it was without counting on the vigilance of the elements of the Judicial Police Prefectural Service of Kénitra.
The security services discovered the victim’s body at her home. It bore visible signs of violence by a sharp tool, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN). The same source specifies that the suspect, after the crime, quickly hid the weapon, a knife, in the bathroom of the house before injuring himself to confuse the tracks.
The investigations made it possible to discover that the said crime was far from being a theft, by noting the lack of any sign of forced entry on the door lock of the house and any material evidence favoring the hypothesis of an assault for theft. The press release stresses that the husband exposed his wife to serious aggression with the knife found and this due to family conflicts, born of mutual accusations.
Pending his submission to a judicial investigation, the accused was placed under medical supervision in a hospital where he is being treated pending the stabilization of his condition to determine all the circumstances and the motive for this criminal act.
