How JYSK decided to conquer all of Morocco after a record launch in Casablanca
After a successful entry into Casablanca in 2025, the Danish furniture giant JYSK is accelerating its deployment. The brand plans to open 70 new stores, making the Kingdom its strategic pivot in North Africa.
JYSK, a subsidiary of the Lars Larsen Group, is now making Morocco a central axis of its international development. The Danish retailer has officially announced the opening of 70 stores across the country as early as next year. This strategic decision is based on a desire to strengthen its presence in North Africa, a region perceived as a priority market for the brand, which is already firmly established in the European territory.

The brand’s African adventure began in April 2025 with the inauguration of a first point of sale in Casablanca. Since this launch, in-store attendance has largely exceeded the management’s forecasts, which reports a very favorable reception from the clientele. Faced with this marked interest, the group has chosen to adopt a more sustained pace of implementation in order to meet a local demand that exceeds the initial projections.

The furniture sector in North Africa is attracting more and more investors due to the evolution of household consumption habits. JYSK thus wishes to capitalize on the transformations related to home equipment to establish its visibility.
